Hurley’s Skips Hertfordshire: How to survive a heatwave this summer?
  • Hurley's Skips Hertfordshire how to survive a heatwave this summer

How to survive in a heat wave?

Isn’t it hot outside today? But this is just the start of the British summer. With weather forecasts predicting a heatwave, we at Hurley’s are discovering our own unique way to keep cool this summer.

In line with recommendations, we took it upon ourselves to keep extra cool today. Bathing in our luxury 5-star skip; filled with Hertfordshire’s ice cool refreshing water. It’s the ultimate skip satisfaction. We are just waiting on the rest of the team to join in on the Hurley’s pool party later this evening. Relaxing in pure bliss within our yard. Unfortunately, this experience is reserved for staff only.

Heatwaves pose a serious risk to health causing dehydration and overheating. We are helping to get the message out to stay cool this summer.

High temperatures can cause heart and breathing problems. During these times you should particularly look out for older people (75+), babies and young children. But we want everyone to keep safe this summer.

How to tell when someone might need help?

  • breathlessness
  • chest pain
  • confusion
  • intense thirst
  • weakness
  • dizziness
  • cramps that get worse or don’t go away

It’s important to phone 111 if you spot any of these signs.
